Quick answer
The Africa Residential Proxy Price Index 2026 compares 50 GB public residential offers and documentation for 49 African countries and territories. Checked on 15 October 2026, three competitor totals span $27.50–$50; IPRoyal's exact 50 GB quote remains unresolved. AfricaProxies publishes the compilation, sources and downloadable records, with commercial disclosure.
How can I compare African residential proxy costs?
As of October 2026, AfricaProxies residential proxies appear alongside named competitors in the Africa Residential Proxy Price Index 2026. It covers 49 locations and separates public catalogue evidence from operator-confirmed coverage. Compare the same traffic amount, validity and funding conditions; empty competitor cells mean the relevant figure was not established.

Prices checked on
USD, checked 15 October 2026. These public global country-selector rates are a quantity comparison, not country-specific checkout quotes. Databay 50 GB = $0.55 × 50; IPRoyal 50 GB remains unresolved. Validity, renewal, tax, eligibility and final terms differ. We do not claim to be the cheapest at any volume.
Why a headline rate is not the 50 GB price
Separate public tiers checked 15 October 2026. TB follows each source’s stated allowance; IPRoyal explicitly states 10 TB = 10,000 GB.

How do the benchmarks map to key African markets?

Country documents reviewed 15 October 2026; six illustrative markets from the same 49-location dataset.
Each cell links the relevant country evidence and, where residential documentation exists, shows the shared public price benchmark above. A global published rate is not a country-specific or city-specific checkout quotation. No purchase, route or surcharge test was performed.
Method: one quantity, explicit terms and reproducible classifications
This price index is a dated compilation with a fixed 50 GB reference quantity, not a weighted market index or a time-series price change. The pricing sample comprises Geonode monthly residential, Databay Residential Flex, DataImpulse Residential and IPRoyal Residential PAYG. The public price cards were reread on 15 October 2026. Different products, subscription cycles, introductory eligibility and volume thresholds remain separate.
Three competitor 50 GB totals are established: $34.65 published by Geonode, $27.50 calculated from Databay’s published flat $0.55/GB, and DataImpulse’s published $50 Basic pack. Their unweighted sample median is $34.65, or $0.693/GB; their range is $27.50–$50. The denominator is three, not the whole market. AfricaProxies and the missing IPRoyal exact quote are excluded from those summary calculations.
The geographic universe contains 49 sub-Saharan African countries and territories, including Réunion. Four competitor offers yield 196 documentary observations; 49 separate AfricaProxies service declarations bring the export to 245 records. Residential documentation requires an explicit relevant product statement. Catalogue-only and unresolved records retain their limits. The six-market table maps those documents to public global rates without claiming local checkout quotes or live stock.
Each downloadable record preserves country, provider, source URL, check date, product scope, 50 GB total, entry offer, billing model, expiry and calculation basis. The JSON also preserves separate volume observations and the major mobile operators named through official network sources. Our network-supply policy remains a service declaration, distinct from competitor evidence and an independently tested ASN inventory.
Reuse and correction. The AfricaProxies compilation is available under CC BY 4.0. Underlying provider pages, logos and legal documents keep their own rights. Cite the report URL, the 15 October 2026 edition and the underlying source for a row. Recheck a changed source before updating its amount, model or coverage status; retain missing exact quotes as missing.

A documentary count measures the scope of reviewed product descriptions, not available IPs, success rates or a provider ranking.
Five findings behind the tables
1. Quantity and validity change the comparison. Among the three competitors with an established exact or explicitly calculated 50 GB price, the totals span $27.50 to $50. That is a documented sample, not a claim about the entire market. Geonode’s subscription, Databay’s 31-day pack and DataImpulse’s non-expiring prepaid traffic buy different time horizons.
2. Entry headlines are not 50 GB quotes. A new-customer 5 GB offer or a 10 GB subscription cannot substitute for the larger package total. The table therefore keeps entry size, required funding and the common-volume comparison in separate fields. Our $1.23 plan also requires a balance top-up of at least $25.
3. A catalogue does not settle the product. Nine reviewed country/offer pairs remain catalogue-only. Five Databay country reports explicitly leave network options unconfirmed; four IPRoyal records do not establish an applicable country-specific residential statement. Those entries are not promoted to residential evidence merely because a country has a page.
4. Directory gaps need individual checking. DataImpulse’s Eritrea residential page was found separately from its directory. Conversely, an IPRoyal Djibouti route returned 404 and the relevant residential paragraph on its Guinea route referred to Gambia. The records retain those limits rather than treating a route name as confirmation.
5. A local document is still not live stock. The 171 explicit residential records describe first-party commercial documentation. No proxy connection, purchase, city inventory or carrier consent audit was performed for this index. Check the required exit and actual product terms before using any documentary listing as an order requirement.

Which mobile operator networks do your proxies use?
Our proxies use IP addresses from the main mobile operators in each covered country. City and specific network availability varies. Open a country record for mobile operator names and official sources. The operator identifies the telecom network; it does not mean every traffic plan includes a dedicated 4G/5G modem. Check the product and the operator or ASN returned by the actual connection when a test requires a specific network.
Does a residential-documentation label prove an IP is online?
No. It identifies what a first-party directory or country-specific product document says. A current connection, a city-selection result and a successfully completed purchase are separate observations. The review performed none of those tests, so neither a documentation count nor the operator’s statement is presented as live stock.
Why is the exact IPRoyal 50 GB price not calculated?
The inspected PAYG cards establish other quantities, including 1 GB and 10 GB. They do not establish the exact 50 GB checkout total. Applying one tier’s unit rate to an unquoted quantity could misstate the offer, so this index keeps that cell unresolved and links the original pricing page.
Can I use the country records without trusting the compiler?
Yes. Follow the first-party source linked in the record and compare its country and product scope with the stored status. The downloads preserve the check date and source route so a reader can reproduce the classification. Our own commercial interest is disclosed and our statement is separated from the competitor-document denominator.
