Africa proxy abuse reporting

A reporting route for target operators, network owners and device owners with relevant connection evidence.

Last updated: · 5 min read

Quick answer

How do I report Africa proxy abuse?

Report Africa proxy abuse involving AfricaProxies to [email protected] with the exit IP, exact timestamp and time zone, affected hostname and a small redacted log excerpt. The service permits lawful business work and applies its acceptable use rules; no KYC and crypto payment do not exempt customers from them. Residential plans start at $0.50/GB as of October 2026.

Evidence for a useful report

RetentionWe do not log the content of your requests, full URLs or page data. To handle abuse reports and billing disputes, we keep connection metadata (time, account, exit IP, target hostname, bytes) for up to 30 days, then delete it. We keep your account number, orders, top-up records and traffic totals while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as accounting rules require. We disclose records to authorities only when the law requires it. Our upstream network provider may keep its own logs under its own policy.

Who can submit an abuse report?

Anyone with relevant evidence can report suspected misuse. A target operator can describe traffic received by a system it controls; a device or network owner can explain a connection it owns or administers. If the report concerns public content, include the location of that content and explain the issue.

An African exit address does not identify the customer who used it. Report the behaviour and connection evidence without guessing nationality, identity or business purpose. Shared and changing addresses make accurate timing especially useful.

What information should a target operator include?

Include the exit IP observed in your server record, the exact event time with time zone, target hostname, request method or error category, and a short excerpt showing why the behaviour is abusive. State your role in relation to the affected system and a contact address for follow-up.

Redact cookies, authentication headers, API tokens, personal data unrelated to the event and sensitive URL parameters. A minimal excerpt can preserve evidence without disclosing an entire Nigerian customer database or a South African production application's access logs.

What should a device owner report?

Describe the connection you control, the event you observed and the time it occurred. If you believe an address or device is part of unwanted proxy supply, include the IP and the basis for that concern. Do not attach a passport, wallet key or full device backup.

We resell residential and mobile IPs from established upstream partner networks. Our upstream provider confirms that device owners opt in and can opt out, and that its supply does not come from seized or disrupted networks such as NetNut or IPIDEA. A specific sourcing concern should still be reported even where an upstream confirmation exists. The report is evidence of an observed problem; it should not be treated as proof of a customer's conduct without investigation.

What can happen after a report?

Relevant evidence can be assessed against the terms and acceptable use policy. Actions may include restricting traffic, suspending access, closing an account or raising the supply concern with the upstream network. A report does not create a guaranteed outcome or fixed response time.

The privacy policy describes connection metadata and lawful disclosure. We do not publish the identity or account details of a suspected customer to a reporter. Keep your own evidence securely and preserve its timestamps if you need to make a report to competent authorities.

How do business customers prevent reportable misuse?

Keep a written scope for each market study or QA project, control credentials and review retry behaviour. A rate limit or access refusal should stop the task. Use official advertising previews and authorised landing pages instead of generating repeated live-ad activity.

An agency can organise separate project credentials and traffic caps under the authentication policy, but it remains responsible for every authorised user. The acceptable use rules apply to scripts and autonomous tools in the same way they apply to a person running a manual check.

Abuse reporting questions

Is an IP address enough to investigate?

It is helpful, but exact timing and the affected hostname make it much more useful. A residential exit can change or be used at different times. Include a UTC offset or named time zone so the observed event can be compared with relevant connection records.

Should I include private page content?

Include only what demonstrates the reported behaviour. Redact credentials, customer information and sensitive URL parameters. A small server-log excerpt or event description is preferable to unrelated page content or a full production log export that includes unrelated visitors and creates another privacy issue.

Does no KYC mean the service accepts abuse?

No. No KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents to sign up, top up or buy. Customers must still comply with the terms and acceptable use policy, and service may be refused or suspended for abuse, fraud or a legal obligation. Crypto payment is not an exemption from these rules.

Can I receive a customer's account details?

The reporting route does not provide customer information to third parties. The retention and disclosure policy explains what records support billing disputes and abuse handling and when disclosure is legally required. Report the observed activity without asking support to identify a person speculatively.

Can a device owner question the sourcing?

Yes. Send a connection reference, timestamp and explanation of the connection you control to [email protected]. Keep identity documents and device secrets out of the message. The sourcing statement and a specific complaint address different questions, and an upstream confirmation does not make a complaint irrelevant.

Where should a paid customer report a setup fault?

Send ordinary setup, payment and order enquiries to [email protected]. Abuse reports concern harmful conduct or unwanted supply. Separating the purpose of the message helps preserve the relevant evidence; a target's refusal alone should first be diagnosed as a technical or policy issue.
