Why USDT TRC-20 is a common way to pay in Africa

USDT gives a dollar-denominated reference for a prepaid research budget. In Artemis’s report published in October 2025, USDT led stablecoin volume in all 10 African markets studied; TRON led settlement in six, while Ethereum led in four. That makes TRC-20 a familiar option for many regional teams. Read the study, Africa p.12.

AfricaProxies accepts USDT TRC-20 and Bitcoin. Tether identifies TRC-20 as its Tron route. Match the invoice network and exact amount, click “I’ve sent the payment”, and wait for confirmed credit. Your wallet displays its network fee before you send. See payment instructions.

Residential vs mobile vs datacenter IPs for African targets

Match the network viewpoint to the job. The right category depends on what you are testing.

IP typeNetwork viewpointUseful African workflow
ResidentialConsumer-network IPs; our supply uses the main local mobile operatorsCountry-specific public retail, local search research and application QA
Dedicated mobile portA dedicated 4G/5G modem connectionTesting a carrier-dependent mobile experience; separate country and port stock at checkout
DatacenterA hosting or cloud networkServer integrations and controlled infrastructure tests; a different viewpoint from a consumer network

A technical comparison, not a performance ranking. Datacenter proxies are not part of the AfricaProxies catalogue.

Before your first African project

Which African countries do you cover?

We cover 49 countries and territories across West, East, Central and Southern Africa, including Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Uganda and Rwanda. The country directory names every location and links its local guide or regional hub. Our coverage statement was confirmed on 14 October 2026.

How much does it cost to start?

A 1 GB residential plan costs $1.23, and larger plans start at $0.50/GB. Fund your account from $25, then buy the pack from that balance. The remaining balance stays in your account for later purchases. See the full pricing grid for traffic quantities, rates and the separate mobile products.

What does no KYC mean for my account?

No KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents to sign up, top up or buy. Your account number is your login, and email is optional. Save the account number securely and use separate project credentials for shared work. The account guide explains recovery, sub-users and keeping your main login separate from a client’s research setup.

Can I choose a city or a mobile operator?

Use country, city and ASN targeting to configure the network viewpoint; city and specific network availability varies. Our IP supply uses the main local mobile operators. The coverage index lists names and official sources. Keep the operator and location returned by your connection with your observation when a project needs a particular network.

Should I use rotation or a sticky session?

Sticky sessions keep the same IP for the time you set (ttl, in minutes), up to 30 minutes. The IP can change earlier, for example if the residential device goes offline. Choose sticky mode for a short sequence in your own application, or rotation for independent observations. The session guide explains connection reuse, request-based rotation and choosing the setting that fits your workflow.

Does unused traffic expire?

Prepaid residential and rotating-mobile traffic never expires: unused GB stay on your account until you use them. Keep your prepaid allowance for another campaign, market or application release. A top-up funds your account balance; a traffic plan buys GB from it. The refund policy explains product-credit conditions separately from account funding, so you can size the first paid test before expanding.

Do Google’s country domains select the country?

Google announced country-domain redirects to google.com on 15 April 2025. Treat google.com.ng, google.co.za and google.co.ke as regional references rather than country selectors. Record IP location, language and account settings for permitted SEO research, or inspect your own local landing pages. The Google announcement explains the change.

What should I check before paying from my country?

Review the crypto-payment rules applying to your own jurisdiction; the exit IP’s country does not determine permission to pay. Our payment guide explains invoice amounts and networks. Each country guide links its local evidence, while the rules report records source dates and unresolved questions for the relevant activity.
